The article, "Occupy Wall Street", demonstrates the issue that has been taking place since 3-4 weeks ago in Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan: the protest. Their- the protesters also known as have-nots- objective is to make 1% of the country share its income with 99% breaking away from greed, social inequality, and distinction between rich and poor. The demonstrations are increasing; hundreds of people gathered and the powerful Union is supporting the protesters. In response, the police restrained them by arresting or taking violent action. However the police reaction is moving towards the extremity such as putting the pepper spray on women. Mr. Obama's reaction inclues quite sympathy on this movement and understanding the "frustration" of struggling Americans. Moreover, the Democrats are thinking in two possibilities and outcomes in politics: One, this protest can bring a political boost involving the political party, and the other, this protest can push the party to the side. This Wall Street protest occupied 7% of news coverage drawing most of the public's attention.

US government is basically based on the Declaration of Independence. This document states that government are the ones that should protect right, liberty and PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. However, considering about what the article reiterated about the incident, I believe government is not protecting the 99%'s happiness. Therefore, my opinion is that the 99% definitely have right to rebel or argue against them and, furthermore, government should take care of this problem as soon as possible.

After discussing a bit about this issue, I tilted my mind towards the protesters' side. During the economic crisis and time with difficulty, the citizens' taxes had lifted the government and others (now's haves) up to survive. However, the citizens, now adays, are having difficulty in finding employment which directly is related to less sufficiency in money for living. On the contrary, those 1% who keeps all 99%'s due to the greed and selfishness, is ignoring the suffer of 99% paying attention only to their own benefits. The protesters' complaint and request for sharing incomes and taxes are appropriate. The government should "pay back" with not specifically paying money, but by creating new policy to give advantages in order to improve their economic status or by simple creating more divered employments. In any method, the government is responsible for this crisis and the measures to stabilize people's economic problems and conditions, as well as sentiment, are urgently needed.
